30. jun: Peta etapa predstavlja poslednju od tri etape koje se završavaju u Bretanji. Na redu je još jedna valovita deonica koja se vozi vijugavim drumovima Bretanje nakon koje, u drugom delu ove 165 km dugačke etape, sledi vožnja potencijalno vetrovitom obalom kanala Lamanša. Ova etapa se završava blizu špica poluostrva Kap Frijel, na obali Kot d Armor.

Na 120. kilometru biciklisti će proći kroz Ifinijak (Yffiniac), mesto u kojem je pre 56 godina rođen Bernar Ino (Bernard Hinault), petostruku pobednik Tur de Fransa a koji danas radi za organizaciju ASO koja je i organizator ove trke. Ova etapa bi trebalo da se završi sprintom ali vijugavi drumovi i jak vetar mogu učiniti da se ovaj scenario izmeni —Steve (prevod:Comarello).
