August 28 update: Stage 11 is a hilly, twisty TT course which will help race leader Joaquim Rodriguez (Katusha) help limit the time he's expected to lose on the back roads of the Galicia region. He leads by 54s over Chris Froome (Sky), but he could find himself down by one to two minutes after this stage. Last year's 47 km flat individual time-trial was a disaster for Joaquim Rodriguez (photo above) when he finished over five minutes back of winner Tony Martin and over four minutes on Chris Froome. This year's slightly shorter, more technical course is more favorable to Rodriguez.
This year's Vuelta represents Rodriguez' best chance for a Grand Tour win and he'll extra motivated on Wednesday. See the links below for a more detailed preview.
