August 18 update:The first road stage, stage 2, is a rolling, meandering 180 km from the team time trial host, Pamplona, west to Viana. The peloton will do one circuit of Viana before a long, straight slightly uphill finish through vineyards in Navarra province in northern Spain.

Jose Joaquin Rojas could very well give Movistar their second stage win on this day. Also, look for Ben Swift (Sky), Daniele Bennati (RadioShack-Nissan), Nacer Bouhanni (FDJ) and Lars Boom (Rabobank). — Steve
