14. avgust: Kao što je uobičajeno već nekoliko poslednjih sezona, ovogodišnja Vuelta a Espanja (Vuelta a Espana) počinje večernjim timskim hronometrom. Njegova ovogodišnja trasa, u Pamploni, sa 16,2 km nešto je duža  od onih iz prethodnih godina.
