Kopcovitá 5. etapa bude viesť malebnými regiónmi Granada a Jaén pred extrémne náročným cieľovým stúpaním 2. kategórie vo Valdepenas de Jaén. Dojazd je rovnaký ako v minuloročnej 4. etape s 27% stenou len 500m pred cieľovou líniou. Igor Anton zo stajne Euskaltel Euskadi vyhral túto minuloročnú etapu, ale vo štvrtej etape na Sierra Nevada v utorok už stratil 1:36 minúty a zrejme minuloročný úspech nezopakuje. Joaquím Rodríguez Oliver (Katusha, 3. minulý rok) je dobrý tip pre takýto dojazd. Michele Scarponimu (Lampre-ISD) by mohol tiež sedieť. ---- translation by Ladislav
