Stage 4 preview: Baza → Sierra Nevada, 170 km (Mountain)

Štvrtá etapa zahŕňa stúpanie 1. kategórie priamo po štarte a dojazd na horskú prémiu najvyššej kategórie po 170 km zvlneného terénu medzi týmito dvoma kopcami. Etapa prechádza prevažne regiónom Granada, štartuje v meste Baza a smeruje na juhozápad do Sierra Nevady s cieľovým 23 km dlhým stúpaním s priemerom 5.7%. Pred dvoma rokmi David Moncoutie (Cofidis) zaznamenal jedno zo svojich epických víťazstiev v horskej etape, ktorá predznamenala jeho kariéru, keď v sólo úniku vyhral 13. etapu na vrchole Sierra Nevada. — Ladislav
