August 19 post: Like last year, this year's Vuelta starts with a team time trial, this time featuring a short tricky 13.5 km course on the Mediterranean shores of Benidorm. Benidorm is a popular holiday destination (read party town) which due to its rise in the building of skyscrapers along its beaches is known as "Manhattan of Spain" or "Beniyork" giving it a distinct look compared to the other Costa Blanca resort towns. -- Steve
