Comenzamos a apuntar hacia los Alpes frances, pero todavía se espera una nueva etapa para los sprinters.

Con punto de partida en  Montargis, final de la 5a. etapa, seguimos nuestro viaje hace el sudeste a traves de la Francia interior, donde las temperaturas suelen golpear en Julio. Hoy habrá 3 puertos de categoría 4 en el recorrido, aunque el último se encuentra a 24 kms. de la linea de meta.
Aparentemente se trata de una etapa apta para velocista, corriendo directamente hacia Gueugnon, una ciudad industrial que alberga por primera vez al Tour. Sin embargo, esta es la etapa mas larga de toda la carrera, y se esperan temperaturas alrededor de los 30 grados centígrados, lo cual puede ser un factor importante. . — Steve/Hugo Caceres
