3rd of 6 ams in Ala at km 100. Quality escape group passing through Aia with Luis Angel Mate (Spain/Cofidis), Simone Petilli (Italy/Lampre) at the front, also Tim Wellens, Carlos Verona, Christophe Riblon. At one point they had over 3 minute lead.
