3rd Rui Costa (Lampre - Merida) + 57s

7th Vincenzo Nibali (Astana) + 57s. Like yesterday, his solo attack was unsuccessful.

Rafal Majka (Tinkoff - Saxo) had trouble staying upright today. He crashed earlier in the stage and finished 13th + 2:00... surprisingly the top result among the Giro d'Italia starters.

Todays 3rd place finish also moves Rui Da Costa (Lampre - Merida) up to 3rd overall + 1:02

Third win this week at Tour de Romandie for Michael Albasini (Orica GreenEDGE) with the peloton blurry in the distance

2nd Thomas Voeckler (Europecar) and 3rd Jan Bakelants (Omega Pharma-QuickStep)

Your Stage 4 winner, Michael Albasini (Orica GreenEDGE)

No change on GC with Simon Spilak (Katusha) taking a very slim 1s over Chris Froome into the final day individual time-trial. His chances of wearing Yellow again at the end of tomorrow don't look very good.

Best young rider, Jesus Herrada (Movistar) is enjoying his time in the white jersey

Christopher Froome (Team Sky) won the 18.5 km individual time trial in 24:50, one second faster than Tony Martin
