Fresh off Sunday's impressive podium finish at Milan - Sanremo, Sky's Ben Swift will be one of the top favorites for the sprint stages

Team Sky's four man team consisting of Dario CATALDO (ITA), Ben SWIFT (GBR), Peter KENNAUGH (GBR), Vasil KIRYIENKA (BLR), in that order, posted the fastest afternoon Stage 1b TTT time on the slick roads around Gatteo. 1st 13.3 km in 15:30 (51.484 Km/h).

10km stepped, uphill ITT ending with a narrow finish in Montecuccolo

Dario Cataldo (Sky) won the stepped uphill 10 km TT to Montecuccolo in a time of 16:28 and moved onto the podium (2nd overall) on the final day

Matteo Rabottini (Neri Sottoli) was 2nd + 8s moving him up to the podium (3rd) + 35s

Race leader, Peter Kennaugh needed the cushion he had at the start. He finished 22nd + 48s and ended up winning the GC by only 12s over Dario Cataldo
