Unlike most of the sprinters, Peter Sagan (Cannondale) made it over the mountains on Stage 1 and easily won the sprint finish ahead of 2nd Greg Van Avermaet (BMC Racing) and 3rd Kiel Reijnen (UnitedHealthcare). That's a new Cannondale kit by the way.
