31 avgust: 14 etapa predstavlja prvu od tri uzastopme visoko-planinske etape (koje se sve završavaju ciljem na vrhu uspona), što će imati veliki uticaj na poredak.

Etapa koja se vozi u subotu startuje iz mesta Palas de Rei u Galiciji (Galicia) i karakteriše je pet kategorisanih uspona, od kojih su poslednja dva 1. kategorije, uključujući i cilj na vrhu uspona.
