Liquigas-Cannondale with local favorite Moreno Moser were the biggest team in the race

Looks who's back. His doping suspension is up and Franco Pellizotti is back racing now with Androni Giocattoli

We'll soon see whether Franco Pellizotti has still got it

Start panoramic in Malé

Davide Rebellin (Meridiana - Kamen), was on stage receiving an award. Anybody know what it was for? Email me if you know.

The early break on the first of three passes up the GPM before it was caught. The break consisted of Peter Kusztor (Atlas Personal-Jakroo), , Winner Anacona (Lampre-ISD), Giairo Ermeti (Androni Giocattoli-Venezuela), Enrico Battaglin (Colnago-CSF Inox), Christian Cominelli (Team Idea), and Tiziano Dall’Antonia (Liquigas-Cannondale)

After the break was caught before the second pass of the GPM with 75 km to go, Emanuele Sella (Androni Giocattoli-Venezuela) then went solo for 40 km.

The chase led by Acqua & Sapone

The peloton on the circuits in Fondo

Katusha at the front. Only 29 of the 104 riders finished the race.

Carlos Betancur (Acqua & Sapone) brought back a last km attack by Giampaolo Caruso (Katusha) in the final 20m. Moreno Moser (Liquigas-Cannondale) folowed his move for 2nd

Finish panoramic in Fondo. That's Davide Rebellin (Meridiana - Kamen) finishing 4th + 3s. Nice race highlights (video).

A reminder that we missed Carlos Betancur (Acqua & Sapone) at the Giro d'Italia

It was a tough win needless to say

Carlos Betancur (Acqua & Sapone) happy with the win as he hopes to make the Colombian Olympic team

If your last name is Moser then you're the local favorite when you race in Trentino, but Moreno Moser came up short today

Franco Pellizotti (Androni Giocattoli) was 5th today + 6s in his first race back

Everyone wants their picture taken with the winner, Carlos Betancur (Acqua & Sapone)

Your 2012 Trofeo-Melinda podium: 2nd Moreno Moser (Liquigas-Cannondale), 1st Carlos Betancur (Acqua & Sapone), 3rd Giampaolo Caruso (Katusha)
