Last years' Stage 1 winner Jesse Anthony joins the break, but the break was caught at the top of the final cat 2 KOM

Stage 1 finish. After a hot, hilly, long (130 mile) stage that started and ended in Ogden, Rory Sutherland of UnitedHealthcare won a climbers bunch sprint ahead of Damiano Caruso (Liquigas-Cannondale) and Brent Bookwalter (BMC Racing)

Garmin-Sharp's Christian Vande Velde, here, at the front and Captain America Dave Zabriskie in the middle, easily posted the best time, 13.5 mi/ 21.75 km in 22:35, 30s faster than the next team Rabobank...

Today's break with Johann Tschopp (BMC), Philip Diegnan (UnitedHealthcare), Timmy Duggan (Liquigas-Cannondale), Michael Matthews (Rabobank) and Thomas Rohregger (RadioShack-Nissan) broke clear on the first climb of the day, North Ogden Pass

After being in the break all day then getting dropped on the climbs near the finish, Rabobank's sprinter Michael Mathews caught back on and then took the sprint finish which BMC otherwise dominated. Report and results

Levi Leipheimer soled the last half of the Empire Pass climb and then soloed the descent into Park City

Levi Leipheimer (OPQ) solos into Park City to claim the sixth and final stage of the Tour of Utah. He won by 49s which moved him from 16th to 6th overall + 1:08. A disastrous team time-trial on the opening day where he lost 2:03 put the two-time defending champion in a hole he couldn't recover from. Full Stage 6 Results, Final GC and Reportcyclingnews


49 seconds later, Steven Kruijswijk (Rabobank) won the bunch sprint for third followed by Leopold Koenig (NetApp)
