Stage 4 preview: La Ciotat → Mt Faron, 130 km (Mountain)


February 11 update: The traditional mountaintop finish on Mt Faron (5.5 km long, averages 9%, last 3 km are 10-12%) outside the city of Toulon (see photo above). The GC is so tight that the winner of this stage will likely win the overall just like David Moncoutie (Cofidis) did last year. He'll be one of the favorites but he doesn't like the cold weather and it has been much colder this year needless to say. February 12 update: Due to 10 cm of fresh snow on Mt Faron, today's stage has been moved and shortened to 85 km. The finish will take place on Col de la Garde instead. (See profile below)

February 10 update: This is the easiest of the four stages so expect a sprint finish win by Yauheni Hutarovich (FDJ-BigMat), the cold weather specialist at this sort of thing.
