Stage 5 preview: Crans-Montana, 16.5 km (TT)
April 28 update:
The ski resort Crans-Montana, a regular host for road race stages at the Tour de Suisse, will host the final day individual time-trial on Sunday. The 16.5 km course is rolling and u-shaped starting at Montana village and finishing at Crans-Montana. There's a "cat 1" climb at the halfway point which gains about 418m in 4.5 km for an average grade of 9.5%. See the race summary table (right) for the stage profile, map and timetable. — SteveStage 5 Flythrough (01:00 No Audio) — tourofromandie

Stage 4 preview: Bulle → Sion, 184 km (Mountain)
![]() Looking down into the valley at the stage 4 finish in Sion along the Rhône River and the mountains overlooking Sion which will figure prominently at the end of the stage. (photo: steephill.tv) |

In 2010, the Sion finish on the final day was decisive in A. Valvarde's overall win before his suspension took effect
April 28 update: Saturday's Stage 4 with three categorized climbs near the finish (including two cat 1s) in addition to a cat 1 in the first half is unofficially the only mountain stage of this year's race. After the start in Bulle we'll head south, past the UCI headquarters in Aigle at the midpoint and on to Sion, a regular stop for this event, featuring a mountainous circuit before the descending finish back to Sion. No chance of rain for this stage which is fortunate because the roads at the end of the stage are treacherous; however it will be windy. A break should succeed and time gaps should open up before the final day TT decides the overall. See the race summary table (right) for the stage profile, map and timetable. — Steve
