15 years ago to the day, the 1997 Tour de France Grand Depart took place in Rouen as a tribute to "France's favorite son", Jacques Anquetil. From July 5 1997, here are five time winners of the Tour de France Frenchman Bernard Hinault (L), Belgian Eddy Merckx (C) and Miguel Indurain of Spain paying hommage at the grave side of Tour de France hero Jacques Anquetil who also won the coverted title on five occasions.Aktualizácia zo 4. júla: 5. etapa štartuje v cieli štvrtej, teda v rodisku francúzskeho a rouenského miláčika Jacquesa Anquetila. Potom zamierime na severovýchod cez zvlnený zelený vidiek severofrancúzskeho regiónu Picardia do mesta Saint-Quentin. Na celej trase nie sú žiadne kategorizované stúpania.
Pre šiestimi rokmi v záverečnom šprinte rovinatej 4. etapy Tour v Saint-Quentin bez problémov zvíťazil Robbie Mc Ewen (foto), ale tento rok bude posledný kilometer v miernom stúpaní (2,8 %). To môže byť výhodou pre 22-ročného fenoména Petra Sagana v súboji so špecialistami na šprinty Andrém Greipelom a Markom Cavendishom.
