The star of the first week with three stage wins, Peter Sagan (Liquigas-Cannodale), wasn't expected to be a factor although a few pundits (not us) thought he might contest for the win. He finished 120th + 12 minutes… saving himself to work for Vincenzo Nibali later on or Sunday's medium mountain stage with a flat finish		share this photo
The main break got away at km 20, had a maximum advantage of 6 minutes and was caught at the base of the finishing climb. It consisted of Cyril Gautier (Europcar), Christophe Riblon (AG2R), Luis Leon Sanchez (Rabobank), Chris Anker Sorensen (Saxo Bank-Tinkoff Bank), Dmitriy Fofonov (Astana), Martin Velits (Omega Pharma-QuickStep), and Michael Albasini (Orica-GreenEdge)		share this photo
