2012 Race Preview
June 14 update:
Official Startlist
June 5 update: Route du Sud, now in its 36th edition, is a short (4 day) 2.1 stage race in the spectacular French Pyrénées. Some use this race as a warm-up for the Tour de France, but the field is mostly made up of domestic and pro continental riders who will be watching the Tour de France on TV like most riders.
Many famous riders have won this race early in their career including David Moncoutie, Thomas Voeckler, Sandy Casar, Michael Rogers, Levi Leipheimer, Jonathan Vaughter and Laurent Jalabert.
For 2012, the race will have four road stages over four days with stage 3 being the lone high mountain stage featuring Col du Tourmalet.
