August 31 post: Stage 7 with one measly cat 3 climb 70 km from the end and a dead flat finish should be one for the sprinters. After the start in Murcia and meandering around the region, the peloton should enter the finishing town, Orihuela, en masse some 187 km later... provided no one gets lost. It will a tricky sprint finish with two traffic circles in the last km before a narrow 500m straight finish.

Orihuela was choosen as a host city "to honor the memory of the great poet Miguel Hernández, borned 100 years ago in Orihuela." — Steve
