Stage 5 Preview: La Ciotat → Mont Faron (Toulon), 126 km (mountainous)
Feburary 13 update: Based on how things have gone this week, there is no reason to expect we won't have some sort of problem with the final day and Queen Stage with the possibly of snow forecasted again tomorrow. Unusally cold weather, icy/snow covered roads have ruined one stage and a course marshall mistake affected the outcome of another; the organizers have had a difficult time this week.
Hopefully, the traditional final stage mountaintop finish on Mt Faron () goes off without a hitch. Alejandro Valverde is best placed among those who are expected to contest the cat 1 climb and steep finish. (See profile of the last 3 km above). See the race summary links (right) for stage map, profile and timetable.

Stage 4 Preview: La Londe Les Maures → Biot, 160k (hilly)
Feburary 12 update: Things should get interesting today. Stage four has two decent climbs and a tricky uphill finish (see map/profile above... course marshalls take note!) in Biot near Nice to shake things up. This stage has Alejandro Valverde's name on it and expect him to be wearing Yellow heading into the Queen Stage on the final day. He looked good testing his legs in the break today. 2010 Race Details
Feburary 9 update: Le Tour Méditerranéen is a five day stage race (2.1) that takes place in Southern France along the Mediterranean Sea. First held in 1974, this hilly, scenic race was added to the UCI Europe Tour in 2005.
This year's edition will feature three cat 1 climbs, six cat 2 climbs and four cat 3s making it the hardest stage race parcours prior to Paris-Nice so there should be some good racing. In addition, the race finishes with a mountaintop finish on the cat 1 Mt Faron () climb overlooking Toulon.
Last year's (and Paris-Nice) winner Luis Leon Sanchez will not be back to defend his title. Instead, last year's ProTour winner Alejandro Valverde will captain Caisse d'Epargne. Some other big names include Robert Gesink (Rabobank), Tom Danielson (Garmin-Transitions), Alexander Vinokourov (Astana), Brice Feillu (Vacansoleil) and Cyril Dessel (ag2R).
Live video is unlikely, but we'll have big photos from Sirotti after each stage and video highlights.
