May 30 update: The top of the General Classification is pretty much settled, but there will be some placement battles in today's time-trial finale. We'll be watching to see whether Michele Scarponi can beat Vincenzo Nibali and sneak onto the GC podium on the final day. Nibali is a better time-trialist, but after 20 hard stages you never know and he's only up by one second ahead of Scarponi. Sixth place is up for grabs between two guys who excel against the clock, Richie Porte and Alexandre Vinokourov. Porte is currently just six seconds up on Vinokourov.
The 15.3 km course has one bump at the halfway point raising over 200m before looping back to downtown Verona. There will be a fair number of twists and turns. — Steve
