That's last year's winner Alejandro Valverde leading the charge in the wet conditions. |  A few moments later, Carlos Barrado attacked. Over the next 40k he would exchange his breakmates several times. |  Roman Kreuziger (right) didn't appear to have much of a strategy as he led the final km other than attempting to ride Carlos Barrado off his wheel. Kreuziger died before the line and Barrado easily came around him. |
