|  Sirotti's "collaborator" camped out at the 300m marker near the finish in Arco |  Andreas Kloeden (Astana) had the winning time: 17.5 km in 18'21" (53,290 kph) |  Teammate Janez Brajkovic was just one second back |  Ukraine TT champ, Andrey Grivko (Milram), was third four seconds back |  Top local boy was 7th place Leonardo Bertagnolli of Amica Chips - Knauf @ 0.24 |  51st Filippo Simeoni (Ita) Ceramica Flaminia - Bossini Docce @1.10. He has done nothing since his Italian National RR win in '08. Stage 2: Riva del Garda - Alpe di Pampeago, 141km Full Results and Report
|  Surprise. Suspended rider Michael Rassmussen showed up at the start of stage 2. (Hope he's not suppose to be in Mexico.) |  Ivan Basso gritting it out with snow falling at the finish on Alpe di Pampeago. He looks in good form. Would he take the win... |  or would Gilberto Simoni get the win like he's done previously on Alpe di Pampeago. |  No. Little known Polish rider, Przemyslaw Niemiec drops the big names and wins by 22 seconds |  A great showing by Giampaolo Caruso of Ceramica Flaminia crossing 3rd just ahead of Gilberto Simoni. |  A not uncommon sight at the line: Miguel Angel Rubiano Chavez of Centri della Calzatura just barely had enough energy to cross the line. Even Basso said it was a "very, very tough stage." |  Andreas Kloeden had a bad day and lost his leader's jersey. He finished 28th, 2:38 off the winning time |  Podium: 1st Przemyslaw Niemiec (Pol) Miche - Silver Cross - Selle Italia |  Baby Rabbit likes the color of daddy's new jersey; Janez Brajkovic finished 5th @1.01 and assumes his teammate's race lead. |
Stage 3: Tesero - Innervillgraten (Aut), 165.5km Full Results and Report

Stage 4: Sillan (Aut) - Pejo Fonti, 214.2km Full Results and Report
|  What do you do if you are a photographer with no moto? Head to the finish and kill some time in this case. |  The finish line long before the riders are due to arrive |  Danilo Di Luca bided his time behind Ivan Basso before making his patented killer move with 500m to go. Another fine 2nd place finish by Giampaolo Caruso of Ceramica Flaminia who ran away with the Mountains classification. Too bad we won't see Caruso at the upcoming Giro d'Italia. |  Domenico Pozzovivo of CSF Group-Navigare made a good but unsuccessful solo attempt 4k from the line. He finished 4th. |  But, the focus this day was on Ivan Basso. With great help from his Liquigas teammates, the race leader, Janez Brajkovic was shelled at the base of the final climb. |  6th place Przemyslaw Niemiec (the stage 2 winner) @ 22 seconds leads in Gilberto Simoni and Leonardo Bertagnolli |  Janez Brajkovic of Astana had only four seconds to spare today and gave up 30. |  Danilo Di Luca has won before |  Ivan Basso says it's time to celebrate his 22 second win and his first stage race win since coming back from a two-year suspension. |
